Kangaroo Grass, Themeda triandra, is a tufted perennial to 1.2m high, often red tinted. The seeds form after rain in summer, and are pointed and barbed, so they readily catch in socks and irritate.
Kangaroo Grass is widespread in a variety of habits, from coastal forests to woodlands and semi-arid regions. It can be found at Manna Park throughout all grassy areas and along trails.
