Blady Grass, Imperata cylindrica, is named after its relatively large, broad leaf blades. It grows in fire-prone communities on poorer soils.The big fluffy seed head is very distinctive.

This example was found on the side of Manna Park’s driveway, opposite the Mens Shed.
