The common names refer to the white flowers, which are densely packed bunches looking a little like rice, pills, or sago. They are called everlasting because they retain their shape and colour when dried.


They are similar in appearance to Dogwoods, Cassinia species, but don’t have their strong doggy aroma.


This example found near the Carpentry Centre at map coordinates 58 635, 19 236. Many other examples can be found growing in the understorey in sunny, open parts of the forest.
