Most of the Prostanthera family has a lovely and strong minty smell when he leaves are crushed, but this one is quite unpleasant.
The mauve / purple flowers show the distinctive shape of the Labiatae family. Cut-leaf Mint-bush is usually found in moist forest or rainforest margins, and these photos were taken at the top of the gully along the mountain bike track, between the Carpentry Centre and Manna Park Hostel, at map coordinates 58 295, 19 300.
