This shrub is surprisingly fire resistant, it recovered strongly after the hazard reduction burn around the Hammock Hilton in Aug 2008.

Small yellow flowers are followed by round green fruits.   The outer bark is very flaky and easily rubbed off to uncover a red under-bark.
