monkey_gum_thmbThis eucalypt seems to be fairly resistant to BMAD and is scattered throughout the gullies of Mandeni Park.   It grows tall and straight and sheds an enormous quantity of candlebark which is great to use as kindling in our glass fronted stoves.   Good examples are alongside the Manna Park entrance road at 58800E 19200N, there are also several large and very old trees at 59450E 18200N just south of Blackboys Fairway.

The juvenile branchlets (and suckers = epicormic growths) have a peculiar square cross section.
