This grey Moth was attracted to a light and rested on my hand when I held it up. The Wing markings are a close match for the species Anthela ocellata, and the thin antennae indicate a female of the species. It is possible that it is another species of Anthela, which belong to the Anthelidae Family, Lepidoptera Order of Hexapoda Arthropods (six legged insects).
Anthela lay eggs in grass, on which the young grubs feed. They form a cocoon, and emerge as Moths.
