Duckpond

A pond at the side of the 9th fairway.   This pond receives water from New Dam and leads it towards BBQ Dam.

Picnic Pond

We used dirt from here to build the road along the southern side of the 9th fairway to lead water across to BBQ and Big Dam which were very slow to fill.   To hide the scar we converted the hole into a pond, which surprisingly holds water quite well.   It provides a rest stop for families riding the blue bike route.

Poo Ponds

These are the effluent treatment ponds for the cabin septic system; after 90 days retention sunlight and oxygen render all of the nasties harmless and the effluent could be used to water a vegie garden, we use it to provide water to the ponds in the rainforest.

Racecourse Paddock

This paddock was used for a Rotary Club fundraising day in 1985 which included horse races, dog cart races etc.   Since 2006 it has been used by Meile Waterson to run a few steers, eventually we hope to relocate some building lots from forested areas to this open area to preserve more of our trees and limited animal habitat.
