An Eastern Pygmy Possum, Cercartetus nanus, was captured in a pit trap along Transect 2, at GDA 7 59 676, 59 18 939, which is just north of the 6th Green. The Eastern Pygmy Possum has a very small range; about 0.7ha for males and 0.35ha for females, so they are likely to live their entire life at this location.

The Eastern Pygmy Possum prefers to eat nectar, particularly from Banksia flowers or Eucalypt blossums. They also eat fruits and insects.

Eastern Pygmy Possums live in tree hollows, sometimes build nests, or utilise nests built by other species.
